Private Journeys to Bhutan exists for travellers who want Bhutan done well, by people who have been doing it for decades, with the care a country like this asks of you.
Nothing more, and nothing wider.
What we do
We design and operate bespoke Bhutan journeys through Paro, Thimphu, Punakha, Gangtey, and (on longer trips) Trongsa and Bumthang. Every journey is written for one traveller or party, matched to a knowledgeable Bhutanese guide, lodged at the country's most considered properties, paced for the actual people travelling rather than a generic shape.
How we work
You arrive at us by reading, asking, or talking.
We respond substantively.
An experienced member of the team writes your proposal, with itinerary, named guide, named lodges and transparent pricing, and reviews it before it reaches you.
You read it; we adjust; you confirm.
Everything else, from visa and SDF to the flight desk and in-country support, runs invisibly underneath.
What we don't do
Premium Bhutan is a small business and we keep it that way.
Speak with us
The guide network
We run a small, carefully curated network of Bhutanese guides, drawn from the country's most knowledgeable cultural translators, light-trek specialists, master photographers, and monastic-trained scholars. We do not run a marketplace. We do not list profiles publicly. We match you, specially, to the one whose knowledge, pace, and temperament fit your week.
Your guide is named in the proposal before you confirm.
The same person is with you from the airport to the airport. We change the match if it does not feel right.
Legal & operational
A licensed Bhutanese operator.
Private Journeys to Bhutan is registered as a tour operator with the Department of Tourism of the Royal Government of Bhutan. We handle visa processing, SDF payments, monument permits, and in-country logistics directly.
